Ways to Give
Thousands of people call Anawim Housing home each year. Many live in houses well over 100 years old while others call home townhouses that were completed just days before they moved in. The connecting principle is that each of these homes is both well-maintained and affordable. Because of our comprehensive approach to stable housing, our families continue to live with us for over a year - but how do we continue to keep our rents affordable? How do we continue to build more units and maintain the conditions of our homes? Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to ensure that we maintain quality while keeping our rent affordable and our tenants - 1,600 of them children - in their homes.
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is a vital source of funding for all these things and more, including building maintenance, tenant education programs and property management. Because most gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted, they allow Anawim Housing the flexibility to direct funds where they are most needed and have the greatest impact. The Annual Fund touches virtually every aspect of Anawim Housing.
- Matching Gifts: Many companies will match an employee's contributions to Anawim Housing. Contact your employer's human resources department to find out if your company will match your gift.
- Monthly deductions and multi-year pledges: Individuals can elect to make a recurring gift to Anawim Housing that will automatically be billed every month to your credit, debit or PayPal account. Or you may choose to pledge a large sum and then make payments over two to five years.
Legacy Circle
Members of our Legacy Circle pledge to make a gift of $25,000 or more, sometimes through a pledge over multiple years. The Legacy Circle allows us to continue serving our Mission in two critical ways:
- Housing Sustainability ensures families have a variety of safe, affordable and desirable homes to choose from in the community. The fund empowers us to maintain our existing homes and allows us to build more.
- Family Stability supports family advocacy and supportive services. As a tenant of Anawim Housing, families have access to services and opportunities that ensure they continue to afford their home.
When a member of our community invests in this fund, they are investing in the families who will call Anawim Housing home long after our lifetimes.
Planned Giving
Anawim Housing's Legacy Circle also recognizes and honors donors who have made planned gifts. These gifts expand our endowment, improve and add to our portfolio of homes and will support our organization for generations to come.
There are a number of ways to make a planned gift to Anawim Housing, including bequests, insurance policies, including Anawim Housing in retirement plans or gifts of stock or mutual funds.
Women Empowering Families
Women Empowering Families members are women of compassion who support our mission to provide safe, affordable homes for women and families.
Members of the 500 Club pledge $500 per year or more to the Annual Fund of Anawim Housing. These gifts go to support families with children, of which 270 are single mothers, who call Anawim Housing home.
Members of our 2500 Club pledge $2,500 per year or more with $500 directed toward our Annual Fund and the remainder to the Legacy Circle, investing in the women and families of Anawim Housing for years to come.
Tributes and Memorials
Anawim Housing welcomes gifts in honor of a special person or event in your life. We will send an acknowledgement letter to you for tax purposes and to the family you have honored through your tribute.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Anawim Housing is always looking toward the future; more people need more homes. Through new construction, major rehabilitation projects and community events, there are several ways to get your name 'out there' while also supporting a critical cause in our community.
