Anawim Housing Participates In DSMHack
Anawim Housing was very excited to have been selected as one of 11 nonprofits chosen to participate in DSMHack 2020!
About DSMHack:
DSMHack provides assistance to nonprofits and growth opportunities for central Iowa technologists. Their yearly event is a 48 hour hackathon where technologists from around the state volunteer their time to partner with selected area nonprofits to solve technical problems. Since dsmHack's beginning, they've helped more than 50 nonprofits, providing invaluable technology updates and training which helps our community as a whole. Learn more about the hackathon here.
Anawim Housing's Project:
We asked DSMHack to help us create two visual tools for our website:
The first tool being a data dashboard would display all of our current Permanent Supportive Housing data for the community to access. See the completed Permanent Supportive Housing Data Dashboard tool
The second tool being a map that displays Anawim's affordable housing developments across the state of Iowa and provide details related to those projects. See the completed Anawim Housing Development Project Map
Over the course of 48 hours, a team of very dedicated tech superstars created these tools for us, and improved upon our original visions to make them exactly what we were needing. They provided skilled training on how we can utilize and update them as a company moving forward.
