Anawim Named a 2018 Top Workplace

Anawim Housing is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Des Moines Register. The Register annually recognizes 150 companies and organizations in Iowa as Top Workplaces. These companies are honored based solely on surveys about the workplace completed by their employees. Anawim is thrilled to be a recipient of this award in the small workplace category.

For over 30 years, Anawim Housing has been a leader in providing safe and affordable homes for families and individuals throughout Greater Des Moines. Anawim Housing was founded in 1987 by a group of community activists who recognized a need for more stable, affordable housing. Today, Anawim serves over 2,000 people and owns and/or manages over 1,150 units, consisting of townhomes, single family homes, duplexes and multi-family living. Our mission to develop stable homes and strengthen communities is accomplished through our four main areas: Permanent Affordable Housing, Supportive Housing Programs, Supportive Services, and Partner Services. When people come to Anawim, they are given a support system made up of housing managers and family advocates - a whole organization dedicated to their success and stability in housing.
